Not just telling stories—living them, lifting them, loving them.

 

Born in the birthplace of hip hop, raised on rhythm and realness, I started out writing poetry and taking youth theater classes to stay out of trouble (thanks Mom!). That early spark led to a breakout role in the Sundance hit Pariah, collaborations with acclaimed directors such as George C. Wolfe and Dee Rees, making appearances on Law & Order: SVU, and Cold Case, and voicing a lead role in the animated series Speed Racer: The Next Generation.

 

Behind the scenes I’ve worked at HBO, Queen Latifah’s production company Flavor Unit, and I currently write cue cards at Saturday Night Live! With experience in both creative and production roles – whether it’s acting, writing, producing, assisting, gripping, or AD’ing – if it helps to tell a story, I’ve done it.
